«El fugitiu» is a poetry collection by Miquel Martí i Pol, published by Edicions 62 in hardcover (80 pages, in Catalan).
The collection moves between desolation and hope: death appears as a presence that does not prevail as long as one persists in risk and waiting. Its verses evoke the possibility of a return of tenderness and the difficulty of moving after darkness, with a voice that assumes fragility without giving up.
The collection was published in 1998 within the Biblioteca Miquel Martí i Pol series. Born in Roda de Ter in 1929 and died in Vic in 2003, Miquel Martí i Pol received multiple awards and distinctions.
For lovers of poetry and Catalan literature, as well as for those who want to approach the work of Miquel Martí i Pol.
Miquel Martí i Pol was one of the most popular and widely-read Catalan poets of the twentieth century, publishing more than 1,500 poems.
