«El genial mundo de Tom Gates» is the illustrated children's humor diary by Liz Pichon, published by Editorial Bruño in paperback (248 pages, in Spanish).
In his diary, Tom Gates recounts his daily life between classes, drawings and mischief: his goal is to annoy Delia, his older sister, while teachers accuse him of not concentrating. Tom insists he does concentrate, just on truly important matters, like deciding which cookie is best. The book is full of Tom's own doodles and notes.
First title in the Tom Gates series. The collection has won the Roald Dahl Prize for funniest book and has been translated into over 40 languages.
Recommended for children aged 10 and up looking for a lively, fun read full of illustrations.
