«Tom Gates: Todo es genial (y bestial)» is the humorous children's and young adult novel by Liz Pichon, published by Editorial Bruño in hardcover (272 pages, in Spanish).
Tom Gates is eager to go on the school trip, but first he has to find the permission slip his parents need to sign. Meanwhile, his sister Delia never misses a chance to annoy him, and he dreams that, on his return, he'll be allowed to have the pet he so badly wants. Amid drawings and doodles, he narrates his daily life with great humor: building rafts, having midnight feasts and observing strange bugs are just some of the adventures awaiting him.
Fifth installment in the Tom Gates series. The book is illustrated by the author and was awarded the Blue Peter prize for best story in 2013.
Aimed at readers aged 10 and up, especially those looking for fun school stories, with an illustrated diary format and a protagonist full of bright ideas.
