Lisbeth Salander is serving a two-month sentence in a maximum-security prison. Documents about the abuse she suffered in the past and about a pseudoscientific experiment by the Swedish government in the eighties connect her to Mikael Blomkvist in an investigation to clarify her story and find her missing twin sister.

For readers of the Millennium series and Nordic crime fiction who want to continue with Lisbeth Salander's story.
