«El libro de los cuentos perdidos 1» is the first volume of fantasy tales by J.R.R. Tolkien, published by Círculo de Lectores in paperback.
The volume gathers the earliest tales of Middle-earth: a traveler from distant lands arrives at the Lonely Isle, Tol Eressëa, and hears stories about the origin of the world and its peoples. Christopher Tolkien edits and annotates these texts, which shaped iconic characters and places of the author's fantastic universe.
First volume of the series The History of Middle-earth. Spanish-language edition of 1999, 380 pages; the original work, «The Book of Lost Tales, Part I», was published in 1983.
Aimed at readers of epic fantasy and Tolkien fans interested in the origins of Middle-earth and the development of its mythology.
John Ronald Reuel Tolkien was an English writer and academic philologist. He was the author of the high fantasy works The Hobbit (1937) and The Lord of the Rings (1954–1955).
