«El linaje de Aitor» is Jon Juaristi's essay on the construction of the Basque tradition, published by Taurus in hardcover (352 pages, in Spanish).
The book analyzes the image that Basque society has built of itself through its historical-legendary literature, a little-studied field that the author considers key to understanding the current Basque problem. Juaristi examines how the tradition was invented and how that mythical narrative influenced Basque nationalism and the evolution of Basque identity.
