«El lleó» is the children's nonfiction book by Christine Denis-Huot and Michel Denis-Huot, published by Cruïlla in hardcover (32 pages, in Catalan).
The book introduces young children to the life of the lion, the king of the savanna: what its daily life is like, what it eats and how it behaves. It explains that, despite its mane and haughty bearing, it is a rather lazy animal: it lets the females do the work while it only eats and rests, although it remains the leader of the pride.
Book published in 2003, with Catalan translation by Núria Font i Ferré. For readers aged 4 to 8.
For young readers curious about wildlife and nature, as a first introduction to the animal world.
