«El petit avet» is a children's story by Núria Font i Ferré, illustrated by Fernando Krahn, published by Cruïlla in paperback (16 pages, in Catalan).
A small fir tree feels sad because, unlike the trees around it, its branches do not fill with leaves. But one morning, upon waking, it discovers that green needles have sprouted on them, just like the other firs.
It belongs to the «Vull llegir!» collection, aimed at children from 3 years old; the text uses cursive and capital letters.
Designed to accompany the first steps in reading in Catalan, with a short story and visual support.
