«El Lobby judío: poder y mitos de los actuales hebreos españoles» is the essay by Alfonso Torres, published by La Esfera de los Libros in paperback.
After 9/11 and the crisis between Israelis and Palestinians, the author investigates the reality of Spanish Jews: how many there are, where they live, how they amassed their fortunes, and what weight they carry in politics and economics. The work debunks myths such as that they are all rich and orthodox, and asks whether a Jewish lobby truly exists in Spain.
The book was published on October 22, 2002, and is part of the Actualidad collection (no. 10).
For readers of historical and political essays interested in the Jewish community in Spain, antisemitism, and relations with Israel.
