«El manicomio catalán» is the essay by Ramón de España, published by La esfera de los libros in paperback (200 pages, in Spanish).
The author, a Barcelona native who does not share nationalist views, reflects with humor and irony on the nationalist delirium in Catalonia. He criticizes political management since the Transition, the role of the left and the press, and how many live off the idea of homeland. He invites readers to question the impossible independence and the uncritical mass that supports it.
Part of the Actualidad collection. Published in 2013 after the 2012 Diada, first edition in Spanish.
