«El nuevo espacio público» is the philosophical essay by Jean-Marc Ferry, Dominique Wolton and others, published by Gedisa in paperback (256 pages).
The work analyzes the redefinition of the public sphere in mass democracies, understood as a domain linked to freedom of expression and political communication. The various texts study the role of the media, the relationship between social actors and institutions, and the connection between communication and democracy, with the thesis that the public sphere has not disappeared but functions differently.
The title appears in the El Mamífero Parlante collection, within the Mayor series. This edition was published in August 1994.
A work of interest to scholars of political philosophy, communication and democratic theory.
