In the penal colony of Victoria, two opposing communities coexist: the first settlers of the City, a patriarchal society, and the pacifists who arrived later, settling in Shantih and treated like vermin. The novel was originally published in English in 1978 with the title The Eye of the Heron. This 1988 edition belongs to the collection Clásicos Nebulae.
