«El orbe y la rueda» is the science fiction novel by Michel Jeury, published by EDB Ficción in paperback (320 pages, in Spanish).
In a remote future, the solar system has been replaced by the Sphere of Govan, thousands of artificial worlds around the Sun. The Lords of the Orb and the Engineers of the Wheel vie for power while the artificial brains of the Sphere awaken to consciousness. Mark Jervan d'Angun, resurrected after millennia, is drawn into a conflict where science seems like magic.
Winner of the Apollo and Cosmos 2000 awards, it was originally published as «L'Orbe et la Roue» (1982). This Spanish edition belongs to the Nova collection, with translation by Maria Dolores Gallart Iglesias.
