«El pirata despistado» is a children's picture book by Chema Hernández Aguiar, published by Ediciones SM in hardcover (30 pages, in Spanish).
Félix is such an absent-minded pirate that he sets off in search of treasure without being quite sure how to find it. To make reading easier for the youngest, some words in the story are replaced by pictograms, drawings that the reader must recognize and integrate into the narrative.
The illustrations are by José María Lavarello. The book belongs to the Pictogramas collection from Ediciones SM.
Aimed at children aged 3 to 5 who are beginning to read; the pictograms provide visual support during reading.
