«El precio a pagar» is the autobiographical testimony of Joseph Fadelle, published by Rialp in paperback (208 pages, in Spanish).
Mohammed, a young Muslim from an important Iraqi Shia family, discovers during military service that his roommate is Christian and ends up wanting to convert. In Islam, changing religion is a crime: his family tries to dissuade him with threats, prison, and torture. Baptized as Joseph, he recounts his ordeal and his flight to France.
It belongs to the collection «Biografías y Testimonios»; the translation from French is by Gloria Esteban Villar.
Recommended for readers interested in real testimonies of faith and the religious persecution of Christians in Iraq.
