«El profeta» is the poetic and spiritual work of Gibran Jalil Gibran, published by Editorial Edaf in paperback (102 pages, in Spanish).
In this work, the prophet Almustafa, before setting sail, shares his wisdom in parables and meditations on matters such as love, marriage, child-rearing, work, morality and the end of life. The simple, dialogic style turns each reflection into a spiritual teaching of universal reach.
The work originally appeared in 1923; this edition presents the translation and prologue by Mauro Armiño and corresponds to no. 155 of the Biblioteca Edaf de Bolsillo collection.
Readers interested in poetry, spirituality and philosophy, or those seeking a classic reflection on life and the human condition.
