«El Quijote contado a los niños» is the children's adaptation of Cervantes' classic by Rosa Navarro Durán, in paperback (200 pages, in Spanish), edebé.
Adaptation for young readers of Cervantes' novel. It narrates the adventures of a hidalgo who, after reading too many chivalric romances, believes he is a knight-errant and travels the world with Sancho Panza to defend the weak. It preserves the spirit of the original in a close and accessible tone.
Published in 2007, it belongs to the collection Clásicos contados a los niños. Includes illustrations by Francesc Rovira.
Recommended for young readers aged 8 to 11, especially as school reading for approaching the classics.
