El racisme explicat a la meva filla

Synopsis of El racisme explicat a la meva filla

«El racisme explicat a la meva filla» is the popular essay by Tahar Ben Jelloun, published by labutxaca in paperback (64 pages, in Catalan).

Ben Jelloun clearly answers questions such as why racism exists, what racists fear, and what colonialism was and its consequences, and asks whether one is born racist. The result is a brief, simple and brave reflection, designed for children to understand the topic and for adults not to forget their questions.

Translation by Ernest Folch Folch of the original French work «Le Racisme expliqué à ma fille» (1998).

Suitable for reading with family or in the classroom, both for children approaching the topic for the first time and for adults seeking a clear explanation.
