Mikel Santiago was born in 1975 in the town of Portugalete, Biscay. Before finding success in literature, he spent his youth playing in rock bands. His career took off by publishing short stories and novels online. He lived in Ireland and the Netherlands for nearly a decade before returning home. He currently balances his writing career with his passion for rock music and software development.
