«El retaule del flautista» is the play by Jordi Teixidor Martínez, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (122 pages, in Catalan).
The text is presented as stage material rather than conventional narrative: the volume itself compares it to an instruction book, because the true meaning of the piece emerges when it is staged and tested. This peculiarity has made the title a reference work of contemporary Catalan theatre and a widely read classic.
Catalan edition of 1996, in the El Cangur Plus collection. The edition, edited by Jaume Melendres, includes the scores by Carles Berga, a prologue and a final section with reading alternatives.
