«El somni de Fernando Botero» is the children's story by Alberto Urcaray, published by Brosquil Ediciones S.L. in hardcover (40 pages, in Catalan).
The story imagines the dream of the painter Fernando Botero: everything that appears becomes big and round, as in his paintings. A playful narrator accompanies the reader on a journey through bold forms and warm colors, where fantasy invites us to see reality with different eyes.
First edition of 2008: text and illustrations by Alberto Urcaray and Catalan translation by Manel Alonso i Català. Reading age: from 5 years.
Aimed at children from 5 years old, it serves as a first approach to the visual universe of Fernando Botero and as reading in Catalan for early readers.
