«El tesoro de la laguna» is the children's story by Carmen Gil Martínez, published by Versos y trazos Editorial in hardcover (38 pages, in Spanish).
Around the Charcorredondo lagoon, three kings waste water: Berenjeno IX, Facunda II and Baldomero I. When a great catastrophe threatens their kingdoms, the witch Elisenda, with her raven Tristán and her cat Tenebroso, tries to prevent it. With humor, the story invites readers to value water as a scarce resource.
Volume 2 of the El baúl de los cuentos collection, with 23 illustrations by Víctor Escadell Rivas and recommended age 6 to 11 years.
Suitable for early readers; can be used in the classroom or at home to discuss environmental education and water saving.
