«Els contes de la fantasia» is the collection of tales and fables by Gianni Rodari, published by Estrella Polar in hardcover (144 pages, in Catalan).
A collection of tales and fables where Gianni Rodari's imagination and humor show reality from unexpected perspectives: an elephant spins on its trunk like a top, a crab decides to walk forward, the city cats protest and a flower dares to bloom at the North Pole.
The translation is by David Nel·lo, the illustrations by Giulia Orecchia, and it belongs to the Primers lectors collection.
Suitable for young readers aged 9 and up, especially those who enjoy fantasy and humor.
Giovanni Francesco "Gianni" Rodari was an Italian writer and journalist, most famous for his works of children's literature, notably Il romanzo di Cipollino. For his lasting contribution as a children's author, he received the biennial Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 1970. He is considered Italy's most important 20th-century children's author, and his books have been translated into many languages, though few have been published in English.
