«Els papers àrabs» is the young adult novel by Ivan Carbonell Iglesias, published by Edicions del Bullent, S.L., in paperback (192 pages, in Catalan).
Two schools from Cocentaina and Riba-roja de Túria travel together to Andorra and Rialp. The discovery of a coded letter about an Arab treasure connects the young people with a story of ancestral witchcraft. To find it, they must decipher ancient manuscripts while a mysterious teacher watches them; an adventure as dangerous as a first kiss.
It belongs to the Esplai collection (no. 47) and won the 30th Enric Valor Prize for young adult fiction in 2010.
Novel recommended for young people aged 12 and over, with a plot of adventure, mystery and romance.
