«Els vincles audaços» is the novel by Ivan Miró, published by Manifest Llibres in 2023 (186 pages, in Catalan).
The novel weaves together the labor movement and gun violence of 1917-1923 with today's social mobilization. It recovers the memory of Francesc Comas i Pagès, «Paronas», a young anarcho-syndicalist glassworker from Sants, disciple of Peiró and Seguí, and traces bonds of friendship, love, work and struggle in a city marked by precarity, racism and speculation.
The novel continues some plots and characters from La revolta que viurem (2015), also by Ivan Miró, though it can be read independently.
Suitable for readers aged 14 and over interested in the social history of Barcelona and in fiction with political commitment.
