«En Gip dins el televisor» is the children's book by Gianni Rodari, published by La Galera in paperback (162 pages, in Catalan).
In the title story, Gip appears on a television screen and surprises those watching; the volume also includes other stories set in orbit. The work combines humor, fantasy and situations recognizable to young children, with Rodari's imaginative style.
The book was published in 1991 in the Grumetes collection; the cover indicates this is the third edition.
Aimed at child and young adult readers, it serves as a first introduction to Gianni Rodari's narrative.
Giovanni Francesco "Gianni" Rodari was an Italian writer and journalist, most famous for his works of children's literature, notably Il romanzo di Cipollino. For his lasting contribution as a children's author, he received the biennial Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 1970. He is considered Italy's most important 20th-century children's author, and his books have been translated into many languages, though few have been published in English.
