«En memoria mía: Fragmentos de la vida de un cura» is the fictionalized memoir of Juan Rubio Fernández (PPC Editorial, paperback, 176 pages, in Spanish).
Mario, an elderly Spanish priest, looks back on his life devoted to the ministry. With touches of fiction, Mario represents many priests who were enthused by the conciliar reform and then lived through the ecclesiastical winter. Mario keeps his hope and wonders whether those who promoted that spirit were right; fiction becomes a symbol of reality.
Published on January 22, 2010. Part of the GP Actualidad collection, number 116.
Work for adult readers interested in spirituality, religious autobiography and priestly life in Spain over recent decades.
