«En Pere sense por» is the children's story by Joan Amades, published by La Galera in hardcover (24 pages, in Catalan).
Pere is a very brave boy who has often heard about fear, though he doesn't know what it is. Driven by curiosity, he decides to travel the world to find it, wondering whether it might be a beast, a plant, or a stone.
The adaptation is by Roser Iborra and the illustrations by Max. It belongs to La Galera's Popular collection (number 54).
Aimed at children aged 6 to 8 who are starting to read and enjoy illustrated stories.

Joan Amades i Gelats was a Catalan ethnologist and folklorist. An autodidact, he worked at the historical archive of the city of Barcelona and at the Museum of Industry and Popular Arts of the same city. From 1956 onwards, he collaborated with UNESCO. He was also an important promoter of Esperanto and founded the Federació Esperantista Catalana. Perhaps the most important book in his large bibliography is Costumari Català, the main work for the study of Catalan popular culture.
