Ensemble, c'est tout

Synopsis of Ensemble, c'est tout

«Ensemble, c'est tout» is the novel by Anna Gavalda, published by J'ai lu in paperback (576 pages, in French).

Camille used to draw, but now she cleans offices at night; Philibert, an eccentric aristocrat, houses Franck, a brusque cook, and Paulette, Franck's grandmother, who lives alone and hides the bruises from her falls. None of them should have crossed paths, but chance brings them together in Paris and, like a theory of dominoes in reverse, instead of knocking each other down, they help each other up.

This paperback edition was published in October 2005 within the Litterature Generale collection from J'ai lu.

For readers of contemporary fiction who appreciate stories of lonely characters who end up finding a home.
