Erebos is a young adult thriller by Austrian author Ursula Poznanski. The story follows Nick, a student in London who becomes involved in an addictive video game called Erebos. The game has strict rules: each player has only one chance, must play alone, and cannot talk to anyone about the game. The tasks that the game assigns must be performed in the real world, blurring the line between fiction and reality. As Nick becomes more addicted, Erebos orders him to commit a terrible act, forcing him to confront the dangerous consequences of the game.
Ursula Poznanski is an Austrian writer. She won the Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis, Jugendjury prize in 2011 for her thriller novel Erebos, which has been translated into 22 languages.
