Within a codex of the Vatican Library, a researcher discovers folios, written in Catalan and Italian, that reveal a series of enigmas about the unique manuscript of Espill, the great literary work of the Valencian doctor Jaume Roig. This strange anonymous story takes the researcher to Valencia in 1480 and to Naples and Rome in the early 16th century, allowing her to know the difficult journey that Espill had to make until finding rest on the Vatican shelves. During this journey, however, the characters who guard the unique manuscript live extraordinary events, which only those anonymous folios are capable of narrating.
