«Escritoras Griegas» is the anthology of short stories selected by Teresa Sempere, published by Icaria Editorial in paperback (184 pages, in Spanish).
A selection of short stories by Greek women writers born between 1905 and 1953, ranging from children's literature to crime fiction. The stories evoke Greece in the 1940s under German occupation, a family revenge, the difficult coexistence with the Turks, and the isolation of urban life.
Volume 9 of the «compañía de letras» collection, dedicated to anthologies of women writers from around the world.
For readers interested in twentieth-century Greek literature written by women and in the society portrayed in their stories.
