«Estrellitas» is the graphic novel by Andi Watson, published by Norma Editorial in paperback (160 pages, in Spanish).
Simon Adams knows he is not one of those fathers who wash their hands of their children: he is involved in parenting, though in his house, dominated by women, he feels like a second-class citizen. The story portrays everyday difficulties —complaints, tears, tantrums— and the need to stop chasing dreams to take on responsibilities.
The work was originally published in English as Little Star in 2006; the Spanish edition from Norma appeared in 2007 as part of the Cómic USA collection.
For graphic novel readers interested in fatherhood, family, and balancing work with personal dreams.
Andrew Watson is a British cartoonist and illustrator best known for the graphic novels Breakfast After Noon, Slow News Day and his series Skeleton Key and Love Fights, published by Oni Press and Slave Labor Graphics.
