«Fanny» is the novel by Carles Soldevila, published by Selecta in paperback (192 pages, in Catalan).
The work, told in the form of a confession, narrates a young woman's journey from her home to her life as a dancer. It is psychological and uses interior monologue to portray a liberated and self-sufficient protagonist; it marked a change in Catalan literature for its modernity.
Fanny (1929) opens Carles Soldevila's trilogy of novels with female protagonists, completed by Eva (1931) and Valentina (1933). This edition belongs to the Biblioteca Selecta collection.
For readers of twentieth-century Catalan narrative and for those who appreciate psychological novels with a female voice.
