«Fem pastorets» is the children's story by Adelina Palacín, Pilarín Bayés and Assumpta Verdaguer (Eumo Editorial SAU, paperback, 32 pages, in Catalan).
The children Pau and Laia prepare to perform the Christmas Pastorets, like other children, but their show features real sheep and a ram. When the demons of the play start chasing the flock, the sheep flee in fright, the stage fills with commotion, and the audience witnesses a surprise no one expects.
Part of the collection «En Pau i la Laia i les nostres tradicions» and the text is in block letters.
For boys and girls beginning to read in Catalan and for families who want to introduce them to Catalan Christmas traditions.
