«Figura» is a novel by Alberto Cousté, published by Barral Editores in paperback, with 193 pages, in Spanish.
«Figura» juxtaposes passages that follow a woman in casual encounters and in her political experiences in the Spain of the time, while probing her identity within a changing social environment. The fragmentary structure and innovative prose make the book a literary reflection rather than a linear narrative.
It belongs to the Colección Hispánica Nova (no. 71). First edition published in Barcelona in 1973.
It appeals to readers of Latin American fiction and to those studying experimental literature of the 1970s.
