In 'Flashman and the Angel of the Lord', George MacDonald Fraser immerses us in a new adventure of the cowardly but charismatic Harry Flashman. This time, Flashman finds himself involved in the turbulent events of the American Civil War, where his survival instinct and his lack of scruples lead him to comical and dangerous situations. Through his peculiar vision, Fraser offers a biting satire of the history and society of the time, while Flashman tries to get out unscathed from each mess, proving once again why he is the most beloved antihero of historical literature.

George MacDonald Fraser was a British author and screenwriter. He is best known for a series of works that featured the character Flashman. Over the course of his career he wrote eleven novels and one short-story collection in the Flashman series of novels, as well as non-fiction, short stories, novels and screenplays—including those for the James Bond film Octopussy, The Three Musketeers and an adaptation of his own novel Royal Flash.
