«From Lost to the River» is the satirical glossary by Ignacio Ochoa and Federico López Socasau, published by Editorial Planeta in paperback (164 pages, in Spanish).
The book satirizes English through literal translations of Spanish expressions, such as the title, «De perdidos al río» turned into «From Lost to the River». It brings together a grotesque glossary conceived as subtle revenge for those who have not managed to speak the language, and is sprinkled with puns and humorous malapropisms.
Edition published in 2004; the cover reproduces the British flag and bears the subtitle «-De perdidos al río-».
For readers with a sense of humor who want to enjoy the contrast between Spanish and English and the satire of linguistic misunderstandings.
