«Grandezas de España» is the historical satire by Moncho Alpuente, published by Aguilar in paperback (298 pages, in Spanish).
The book reviews episodes, myths and characters from the history of Spain with a satirical eye: kings, battles and patriotic feats appear distorted by irony and humor, turning the official narrative into a farcical spectacle. The subtitle already anticipates this lack of solemnity and promises a version told without scruples.
Subtitle: «La historia más grande jamás contada con menos escrúpulos». First edition, published on June 13, 2000.
For readers who want to approach the history of Spain without solemnity and enjoy satire and acid humor.
