«Hijos de la guerra» is the historical essay by Jorge M. Reverte and Socorro Thomás, published by Ediciones Temas de Hoy in paperback (219 pages, in Spanish).
A collection of testimonies from the Spanish Civil War told by those who lived it as children. The authors gather memories from witnesses on both sides and from different parts of the country: hunger, repression and losses that marked their childhood. Each voice offers a political and personal view of the conflict, without partisanship or embellishment.
Subtitled «testimonios y recuerdos», this volume belongs to the Historia Selección collection and was published in February 2004.
For those seeking a personal view of the Spanish Civil War told by its youngest witnesses.
Jorge Martínez Reverte was a Spanish writer, journalist, and historian, specializing in the Spanish Civil War.
