«Historia de España contada por estudiantes» is the humor book by Javier Serrano and Julio Reboredo Pazos, published by La Esfera de los Libros in paperback
It collects real blunders from secondary school students in Spanish History exams, especially Contemporary History. The answers, absurd but true, mix anachronisms and imaginative quips, such as attributing the Eiffel Tower to the Egyptians or explaining the Black Death as a result of not bathing. The whole shows students' ingenuity faced with a blank page and the instruction to answer rather than stay silent.
Published in May 2005; corresponds to the 1st edition, 2nd printing. Sonrisas y Páginas collection. 224 pages in Spanish.
Suitable for those who enjoy school humor and classroom anecdotes, with the history of Spain as a backdrop.
