This edition of Old Testament texts is designed with younger readers in mind. The Bible is an extensive collection of books that can be difficult for children to read, so author J. Alberto de Oliveira, a Franciscan priest and accomplished poet, has selected 62 episodes from the Old Testament and retold them in his own style while remaining strictly faithful to the original writing. The book includes stories from Genesis (the creation, Noah's Ark, Abraham, etc.), Exodus (the birth of Moses, the plagues of Egypt, the crossing of the Red Sea, etc.), and many other episodes capable of capturing the attention and enthusiasm of young readers and beyond. Evelina Oliveira, a painter and illustrator, has brought the characters to life, creating settings full of enchantment and subtlety. It is a pleasure to leaf through this Bible and refresh the imagination with fantastic stories and myths deeply rooted in our religious and cultural language.
