«Historias del Kronen» is the novel by José Ángel Mañas, published by Planeta DeAgostini in paperback (237 pages, in Spanish).
Carlos, a university student from a well-off family, fills his nights with sex, alcohol and drugs with his friends. Fascinated by the violence he sees in movies and in his own thoughts, he ends up committing unthinkable acts. The novel portrays youthful disorientation: alienation, lack of values and search for identity in a decadent world.
The novel was originally published in 1994 and was a candidate for the Premio Nadal. This edition is part of the collection Los grandes autores de la narrativa española actual.
