«Homo deus: Une brève histoire du futur» is the historical essay by Yuval Noah Harari, published by Albin Michel in paperback (464 pages, in French).
A sequel to Sapiens, the essay argues that, having overcome famine, plague and war, humanity now pursues goals such as immortality and happiness. Harari examines how artificial intelligence, genetic engineering and algorithms could reshape politics, employment and identity, painting a twenty-first century of dreams and nightmares.
Second installment of Yuval Noah Harari's Homo series, originally published in 2015 and translated from the Hebrew by Pierre-Emmanuel Dauzat; the French edition dates from 2017.
