«I Menecmi» is the theatrical comedy by Titus Maccius Plautus, published by Rizzoli in paperback (221 pages, bilingual Latin-Italian edition).
A merchant from Syracuse loses one of his twin sons, Menaechmus, in Tarentum. The other, also called Menaechmus, arrives in Epidamnus and is mistaken for his brother; the latter's jealous wife, father-in-law, and mistress Erotium fuel the mix-ups of this comedy of errors.
It belongs to the BUR Classici greci e latini collection (no. 459) and includes an introduction by Cesare Questa and a translation by Mario Scàndola. The edition dates from 1984.
This edition is aimed at readers of Greco-Roman classics and students of comic theatre.
