«In het duister» is the suspense novel by Mark Billingham, published by Anthos in paperback (374 pages, in Dutch).
One rainy night in London, a gunshot sends a car crashing into a bus stop. The incident brings together three people: the young man who pulled the trigger, a veteran gangster seeking revenge, and a pregnant woman investigating the truth. What seems like youthful violence hides secrets and betrayals with an unexpected ending.
Dutch version of «In the Dark» (2008), Mark Billingham's first standalone suspense novel; translated by Ankie Klootwijk and Ernst de Boer.
Recommended for readers of crime and suspense fiction looking for urban stories with youth gangs, organized crime, and a final twist.
