«¡Increíble Kamo!» is the children's and young adult novel by Daniel Pennac, published by Ediciones SM in paperback (128 pages, in Spanish).
A pact with his mother forces Kamo to learn English in three months, and his way to achieve it is to correspond with Cathy, an English girl whose letters seem to come from another era. His fascination with that pen pal changes his view of life. The volume brings together two adventures of the character: «La agencia Babel» and «La evasión».
The book belongs to the El Barco de Vapor Roja collection (no. 91), with translation by Miguel Azaola and illustrations by Alfonso Ruano. The original work is in French; this Spanish edition was published in 2001.
It is reading for young people aged 12 to 14 who enjoy stories of friendship, family and mystery, and also a gateway to literature.
Daniel Pennac is a French writer. He received the Prix Renaudot in 2007 for his essay Chagrin d'école.
