«Indagacions i propostes» is a collection of essays, diaries and aphorisms by Joan Fuster, published by Edicions 62 in paperback, 320 pages, in Catalan.
The volume brings together essays, diaries and aphorisms by Joan Fuster, a key Valencian writer of Catalan literature. These pages combine critical reflection on culture and society with autobiographical fragments and brief maxims, in an ironic style close to moral humanism.
It is part of the Les Millors Obres de la Literatura Catalana collection, where it occupies number 53.
It is intended for readers of Catalan literature interested in the essay and in the work of Joan Fuster.
Joan Fuster i Ortells was an influential Catalan writer. He is considered a major writer in the Valencian language, and his work contributed to reinvigorate left-wing, pro-Catalan nationalism in Valencia during the Spanish transition to democracy. In his influential political essay Nosaltres, els valencians (1962) he coined the term Països Catalans to refer to the Catalan-speaking territories.
