«Isis dévoilée» is the third volume of Helena Petrovna Blavatsky's theosophical essay, published by Hachette Livre BNF in paperback (476 pages, in French).
The volume deals with ancient and modern science and theology, and examines magic as a reserved and sacred knowledge in past civilizations, linked to the hidden powers of nature. It distinguishes that primitive knowledge from the later use that degraded it into sorcery, and connects it with the earliest known religious traditions.
The cover indicates «(Éd.1913)» and «Tome 3»; translated from English by R. Jacquemot, published under the direction of Gaston Revel.
For readers interested in theosophy, history of religions, and esotericism, particularly those already familiar with Blavatsky's work.
