«Japan» is the science fiction and action manga by Buronson and Kentaro Miura, published by Mangaline in paperback (218 pages, in Japanese).
A television reporter, Yuka Katsuragi, attracts the attention of a yakuza who follows her to Spain. An earthquake plunges them, along with a group of students, into an underground world where an old woman shows them visions of the future: the ruin of Japan, a fate similar to that of ancient Carthage.
Originally published in 1992; this edition is from 2000. Script by Buronson and art by Kentaro Miura.
